The information noted here describes how things were before Covid-19 and we hope and pray will be again.
Helping with Baptisms at St. William’s has two distinct parts, Preparation and Mass. You can choose to help with one part or both.
Preparation: Assisting Deacon Ed with the Baptism Preparation Class for Parents and Godparents. This class meets once a month in the evening for two hours. Your responsibilities would be to greet those attending the class, take attendance, check to see if all of their required paper work is up to date, and assist Deacon Ed as needed during class.
Mass: Setting up and cleaning up as needed for the Baptism celebration in the church. Baptisms are generally celebrated during a weekend Liturgy or can be sometimes scheduled for one hour at a different time on Saturdays.
Baptisms are such a special part of our faith, so being involved with both or either of these two parts will bring you great joy as you fill an important need for the church.
